Libby Harward is a lead artist on Jarjums Life Museum an arts project led by Jane Jennison Developed by Inala Wangarra in collaboration with the Out of the Box Festival, Jarjums Life Museum worked with five communities – Minjerribah – North Stradbroke Island, Hymba Yumba Community Hub in Springfeild Brisbane, Cherbourg community, The Gold Coast, Goondiwindi and the rural are. Over 200 jarjums have been represented in this work that has intertwined exploration, visual arts, storytelling, photography, soundscapes and culture to create this contemporary, exciting and deadly museum! Jarjums Life Museum is a process that is designed for the jarjums, their families, Elders and their community to work closely with professional artists to create unique, contemporary and personal pop up museums. The museums created by the jarjums document the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children – their here and now and what life is like growing up today.
